The Pennsylvania Young Reader’s Choice Award, sponsored by the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association, is Pennsylvania’s children’s choice award program for students in grades K-12. Students must have read at least 3 books from the list in order to be eligible to vote. The purpose of the award program is to promote reading of quality books by the young people of Pennsylvania, to promote teacher and librarian involvement in young people’s literature, and to honor authors whose work is a favorite of Pennsylvania children. Over 300 libraries participate in the program.
