Bookmarks Festival Photos!

Me and Margaret Stohl rocked Winston-Salem, NC at the Bookmarks Festival of Books and Authors. Lev Grossman and many others kept us company. Good times! Go Deacs! #gallery-2 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-2 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */ Who rocks the party that rocks the Hanesbrands Theater? Margie and I do. In my opinion. Selfie time with Kevin. The reception was divine. With Len Vlahos and Mary Alice Monroe. Adaptations panel to start the festival. With Margie Stohl and Frances Mayes. She put up with us. No idea what’s going on here. Goonies rule. Panel selfie pic pic. This is how we do. Got the shades on already. Dork. Block. Then power strike. Tent shot with fans. And an O, apparently. Rapping on stage like it’s…

Comic-Con 2014: A Boatload of Awesome

Had soooooo much fun at Comic-Con this year. Here are some pictures. If only it could be every day. #gallery-3 { margin: auto; } #gallery-3 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-3 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-3 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */ My incredible panel! Like a new fuzzy book family. My wonderful panel-mates talking books. Big crowd for What’s Hot in YA fiction. No empty seats. Hooray! My favorite purchase. The Hobbit panel in Hall H. Hosted by Colbert. I’m spoiled. Colbert with the shock appearance in Hall H. Batman and Superman. They are looking at me. The screens in Hall H are HUGE. And wrap around the room. Biz Markie and Channing Tatum. Together again, at last. The Maze Runner panel was dope. Great job, James Dashner. The King on his Iron Throne. Game of Thrones panel.…

Fan Mail From Miami

Great pics and letters from a wonderful group of kids! We love Ponce de Leon Middle School in Miami. Think we should go back? Hey Mrs. Reichs! I really like your book Code. I barely even read, but with your book Code, it makes me want to read more of your books. I plan on buying the book Exposure to see what happens. School ends on June 5th and we are still going through testing here at Ponce de Leon Middle School. I would really like to meet you, but it’s not only for us, it is for you too. You get to meet your fans here in Miami! -Denise Barrios   Dear Kathy and Brendan,Hi! Honestly, I’m not going to lie to you. I’m not an avid reader at all! But when it came to reading Code, I found myself not being able to stop reading! I absolutely loved it. Although I would love to meet you, I’m sure you are preoccupied with other things. I am too. With the last day of school being June 5th, and field trips May 9th, 15th, and 16th,…

SWIPE — the newest Virals e-story!

SWIPE — the newest Virals e-story — releases 12/16/13! Tempe and Tory at it again. Check it out! Having Temperance Brennan for a great aunt comes with a few perks – including an invite to the famous forensic anthropologist’s book signing at Comic-Con. But while Tory and the Virals are taking in the legendary convention in all its nerdy glory, a priceless Terminator robot is stolen from the crowded exhibition hall. When the bot-napper threatens to destroy it unless a hefty ransom is paid, Tory leaps at the chance to help her Aunt Tempe with the investigation. Subtle clues lead the Virals into all the weirdness that Comic-Con has to offer — strange costumes, ferocious mock battles, and fanboy geekdom beyond their wildest dreams — but the Terminator seems to have vanished without a trace, and the clock is ticking.
